The Warders Hotel is located in the Convict Establishment Precinct of Fremantle, Western Australia.
Originally built in 1851 as cottages for prison warders, this period building holds high cultural and historic significance to the city, state and nation.
The careful restoration and interpretation of this national heritage asset has allowed for additional diversity and public interaction in the area.
Breaking Out of the Conventional: Boutique Accommodation
The cottages have been converted into a character-filled boutique hotel, featuring two venues: Emily Taylor, an Asian-inspired restaurant and bar; and Gimlet, an intimate apertivo bar.
The restaurant is a showcase of impressive design, including a large-scale hand-painted mural, rattan bentwood chairs, and plush teal bench seating.
The hotel also features a drinks garden with relaxed seating and historical stone-perimetered borders.
Behind Bars: A Look into Refrigerated Solutions
