The Queenscliff Hotel has long been a landmark in one of Victoria’s most historic seaside towns. First established in 1888, the heritage-listed venue sits at the gateway to Port Phillip Bay, surrounded by maritime history, coastal charm and a strong local food and wine culture.
After seven years sitting dormant, the hotel has been carefully brought back to life. The result is a refined destination that honours its past while delivering a contemporary hospitality experience.

A landmark reimagined
The restoration of The Queenscliff Hotel brings renewed energy to a building rich in history. From its grand façade to the interior spaces, the venue balances heritage character with modern functionality.
Every detail has been considered to ensure the space works as well as it looks, supporting both the atmosphere guests expect and the demands of a busy venue.
The food and beverage experience
The Queenscliff Hotel operates as a dynamic food and beverage destination, with both bar and kitchen environments running at pace throughout the day.
This required refrigeration solutions that could deliver consistent performance, support efficient workflow and maintain reliability under pressure. The brief called for systems that would integrate seamlessly into the venue while meeting the demands of modern service.
Seamless refrigeration solutions with Williams
Working closely with Green Design Group and installation partner Eymac, Williams delivered tailored refrigeration solutions across both front and back of house.
In the bar areas, Boronia remote underbar cabinets, Cameo remote back bar units and Topaz compact cabinets provide accessible, high-performance refrigeration that supports consistent service.
Behind the scenes, Opal remote undercounter cabinets and a WBCF10 blast chiller freezer ensure the kitchen operates efficiently, supporting food safety, preparation and service flow.
A heritage venue built to perform
The Queenscliff Hotel now stands as a revitalised coastal destination, bringing together history, design and modern hospitality.
Williams refrigeration supports the venue behind the scenes, helping both front and back of house teams deliver consistent performance throughout the day.
This project highlights Williams’ ability to deliver reliable refrigeration solutions in heritage environments, where design sensitivity and operational performance must work together.
