Sustainable built environment design to inspire contemporary learning
The new TAFE Queensland project, located at Robina on the Gold Coast, opened its doors to students in 2022 following eight months of construction.
This TAFE facility will deliver hands-on and practical training and see over 2,000 students pass through the doors each year.
Sustainable goals
This project was incredibly special to be a part of, as it's recognised as Australia’s first completely sustainable, vocational campus. Not only has sustainability has been embedded into the project through its design, construction procurement, building processes and facilities fit-out; but it also extends to the course curriculum, operations and student life.
A team effort
Williams Refrigeration provided support to the project's design and fit-out teams, offering innovative solutions and supplying eco-friendly products which ease emissions and reduce the client’s overall carbon footprint.
"T&H and the team at Williams Refrigeration (especially Ross Willcocks) have been working together for many years now; we have cultivated an efficient and valuable partnership, which helps us to achieve extraordinary results for our clients. Williams Refrigeration was integral in the success of the Robina TAFE project. At every stage of the project, Williams provided innovative solutions to enhance the space’s design and function, while also accommodating the client’s sustainability brief."
